One of Black Ops Cold War’s biggest issue has been addressed and sorted by the developers Treyarch. Since launch, the Weapon XP rates in Multiplayer were considerably lower than the player base is used to seeing. It seemed like ranking up weapons took drastically longer than it should after you hit weapon level 20.
The same can be said for Zombies, which featured its own problem when Double Weapon XP began last week. At first, Treyarch accidentally enabled Quadruple XP in Zombies, which, obviously, was not intended. After a day though, this was reduced in a new patch. However, that reduction was far too much, as you barely got any Weapon XP for playing Zombies.
Luckily for players, Treyarch has addressed both of these issues in a patch released on the 30th of November. Along with that, some additional bugs were fixed.
We’ve also addressed an issue in Zombies that was causing lower-than-targeted Weapon XP earn rates in solo matches and in later rounds.

To thank everyone for their patience, we’re planning additional 2X Weapon XP events in December! We’ll keep you posted on dates and times.
New patch fixes Weapon XP rates in Black Ops Cold War
When players jump into games after the update they’ll immediately notice that they’re ranking up weapons much faster than before the Double XP event last week.
The rates in Multiplayer seem on par with what has been seen in previous titles, which will make earning levels and camos much easier. XP rates in Zombies have also been adjusted for Solos and the later rounds.
