With the release of Black Ops Cold War on 13th November 2020, fans of the franchise have been putting in the hours, and mostly enjoying the game. However, it is no secret the game isn't perfectly balanced, as some weapons such as the MP5 has been very popular, and a bit overpowered. Now, Treyarch has confirmed a Black Ops Cold War update will arrive with Season 1, or possibly even sooner, featuring changes to some weapons as well as scorestreaks.

Already seeing some interesting trends in the analytics, but it's too soon for conclusions. If you're giving feedback, know that we see it and are taking it into consideration."
The developer did not comment on the game's SBMM system, which has been a point of contention all the way back to the beta.
