In terms of controversial aspects of Modern Warfare, the perk selection was near the top of the list. If it wasn’t bad enough that Dead Silence was a Field Upgrade, the entire perk 2 category was virtually useless with the exception of Ghost. In turn, nearly every player ran Ghost and this enabled the camping nature of the game even more. Luckily, Black Ops Cold War is correcting this mistake for the most part.
While there does appear to be some duds as always, the selection looks to be much more appealing. Treyarch included some classic perks as well as a few fresh options.
