Call of Duty: Warzone players are calling for another nerf to the Gas Grenade, arguing that the Season 2 patch fails to prevent "cheap" kills enabled by the lethal equipment.

Call of Duty: Warzone Season 2 is off to a strong start, bringing a wave of new weapons, equipment, perks, and more. While the update includes various buffs and nerfs to address player concerns, the recent Gas Grenade nerf doesn’t seem to have gone far enough. As a result, fans are calling for even stronger adjustments to this lethal equipment.

With the Black Ops 6 integration into Warzone, several new weapons and features were introduced to the battle royale, including Gas Grenades. However, much to the frustration of many players, these lethals are seen as overpowered and broken. Fans argue that Gas Grenades enable "cheap" kills with almost no drawbacks to using them.

On Reddit, players were quick to highlight the major flaws of these grenades. One user suggested, "They need to change it so that throwing gas affects your teammates too because right now you can just spam 3 or 6 gas grenades and have your teammates clean up. Super cheap… or at least buff smoke some more again to counter it."

It’s worth noting that this backlash comes despite a Season 2 update that nerfed the Gas Grenades - though many players feel it wasn’t enough. "The 'nerf' did nothing. They still hit through walls, tick damage is still high, movement slows," one fan stated, while another questioned whether the grenades need so many debilitating effects.

Players have also proposed possible balance changes, with some suggesting another nerf to their effects. One user recommended, "It should only cause health ticks, blurry vision, and slowed movement after you've been sitting in the gas for like three seconds or a few ticks - not immediately." While it's unclear if Activision or Treyarch will implement these changes, ensuring balance remains crucial for Warzone's overall gameplay experience.

Of course, Season 2 has only just launched, and while fans quickly identified the issues with Gas Grenades, the developers may take longer to respond. Hopefully, a fix will come with the mid-season update. Until then, it’s best to avoid these grenades when possible—good luck in your next match!
