The festive season has arrived in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, introducing new modes like the Jingle Hells event. While designed as a fun mix of multiplayer and Zombies, players have criticized its lack of rewards and unnecessary difficulty. Let’s explore the details and see how players respond to the Jingle Hells event in Black Ops 6 Zombies.

Players Frustrated With Jingle Hells Event in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies Due to Difficulty and Lack of Rewards

As part of the ongoing CODMAS event, Jingle Hells returns to Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies, giving a festive twist to the Liberty Falls map and introducing snowballs to battle the undead. The mode also removes Mystery Boxes, Crafting Stations, and Arsenals, making it a much more intense challenge where players can only use what they collect around the map and their default load-outs.

However, players have expressed their frustrations with the event on Reddit, and the feedback has been overwhelmingly negative. Reddit user ‘JulianG-’ summed it up in a post, saying, “In my opinion, the new mode just sucks. I mean, there are literally zero rewards for completing anything under extremely difficult circumstances. I’m not a noob, but there’s absolutely no joy for me in playing this.”

Other players quickly agreed, with one commenter stating, “Thank goodness I’m not alone. This mode just sucks with only the new useless whimsical [GobbleGum] as a reward. I wouldn’t be b**ching if they gave the gun drops from presents and snowmen Pack-A-Punch with increased tiers as you progress through the rounds. Overhyped for a mediocre and letdown result.”

The gun situation in this mode also drew criticism, with one player stating, “No scrap means you’re either stuck with your sh***y loadout gun, gambling on getting not-sh*t guns in presents, or gambling on wall buys succeeding the roll to upgrade every 5 rounds.” Finally, one player bluntly put it, “Just boring and pointless. Making something so f***ng hard doesn’t suddenly make it fun.”

While Jingle Hells is just a limited-time mode meant to be a fun, optional experience, many players feel that the high difficulty doesn’t match the lack of rewards. The frustration is understandable, and it seems clear that players are looking for more incentive to keep playing.

Hopefully, Activision and Treyarch will consider adding extra rewards or adjusting the difficulty to make it more accessible, while still keeping the challenge for those who enjoy it.
