With the launch of Season 2 in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Zombies mode has received a major update with the arrival of The Tomb map. While the update introduces exciting new features and a main quest to complete, players are already voicing concerns about the final boss, with some even calling it "garbage." In this breakdown, we’ll take a closer look at the details and why the Black Ops 6 Zombies community is so disappointed with The Tomb Map's final boss.

Black Ops 6 Zombies: The Tomb’s Final Boss Leaves Players Disappointed

With the launch of Season 2 in Black Ops 6 Zombies, The Tomb map became available to all players. Given its smaller size compared to Terminus or Liberty Falls, many quickly reached the end of its main quest. Unfortunately, this is where disappointment set in, as players widely criticized the final boss fight for being underwhelming.

The battle tasks players with destroying the Sentinel Artifact in an arena overrun with Amalgams, Mimics, and other enemies. While a climactic challenge is expected at the end of an Easter egg, many fans believe Treyarch focused more on making the fight difficult on paper rather than ensuring it was engaging or well-designed.

One Reddit user voiced their frustration, calling the boss fight "garbage" and comparing it to being in Outbreak at Round 100, despite only being on Round 20. Adding to the frustration, players discovered that the Ice Staff - a fan-favorite Wonder Weapon - could only be used against regular enemies and had no effect on the boss itself, leaving many confused.

Even well-known Call of Duty player ModernWarzone shared criticism on Twitter, stating: "So gimmicky, and Treyarch choosing to not allow players to damage the boss with Wonder Weapons (Ice Staff or Ray Gun) is such a weird decision in my opinion. Still seems like a decent map, weird boss tho."

Unfortunately, this sentiment appears to be the consensus. While The Tomb delivers fun gameplay and plenty of content, its final boss battle ultimately leaves a sour impression. Treyarch may address player feedback and make adjustments to improve the experience, but for now, fans will have to wait and see if opinions on The Tomb’s boss fight change in the future.
