In a recent interview, a developer teased that more could be on the way - and these might be maps that you wouldn't expect. Let's dive into the details!
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 to Bring Back More Fan-Favorite Maps
In a recent interview with Dexerto, Treyarch’s Associate Creative Director Miles Leslie teased the possibility of more classic map remasters coming to Black Ops 6. The return of Hacienda in Season 1 Reloaded as a 24/7 map was a huge hit, marking the first remastered map for the current Call of Duty game. Fans were thrilled, and it raised expectations for what could come next.

Leslie shared insights into future map remasters, hinting that players might see not only beloved fan favorites like Fringe from BO3 or Meltdown from BO2 but also lesser-known maps making a return. “We put a ton of consideration into prospective remasters with each new game,” Leslie explained.
“We know there are certain fan favorites players want, and we have some of our favorites on a wish list. While we're still focused on original designs for post-launch maps, no previous Black Ops title is off the table for potential remasters.”
With a rich selection of fan favorites, under-the-radar maps, and developer wish list entries, there’s no telling exactly which maps will be next. But it's clear that while well-known classics will likely return, there’s also room for some surprise remakes in future seasons or events.
We’ll have to wait for official announcements, but the good news is that more map remakes are definitely on the way. It’s an exciting time, and we’re eager to see which map will shake things up in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
