Season 2 of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has finally arrived, bringing a wealth of new content, from updates to Warzone and BO6 multiplayer to the new Tomb map, Wonder Weapons, and a main quest in Zombies. However, what many (including us) didn’t expect was a hacker-fueled crossover, as cheaters are reportedly smuggling Zombies Wonder Weapons into Warzone. If that sounds bizarre, you’re not alone. Let’s dive into the details below.
Call of Duty Players Stunned as Cheaters Sneak The Zombies Ice Staff Wonder Weapons into Warzone
Season 2 of Black Ops 6 and Warzone is barely off the ground, and already cheaters are taking things to the next level. A recent TikTok video reposted by the account apolloservicesv has gone viral, showing a player wielding the Ice Staff - a Wonder Weapon from the new Zombies map, The Tomb - in Warzone. As you can imagine, this is a serious breach of the game’s rules since the Ice Staff definitely shouldn’t be in Warzone.

In the clip, the hacker is seen using the Ice Staff to rack up multiple kills with its powerful ice abilities, some of which are from a distance, far beyond melee range. To top it off, the player buys an ammo box to reload the weapon and continues their rampage. With Warzone and Black Ops 6 fans already frustrated with rampant cheating, reactions to the video have been filled with disappointment and frustration.
“You shouldn’t even be able to use stuff like this in multiplayer & Warzone. Christ, it’s all over,” said YouTuber ProRebornYT. WhosImmortal added, “Disappointed but not surprised.” Another fan commented, “Not even 24 hours and the new update lets you get the Ice Staff in Warzone,” followed by multiple laughing emojis.
It took Cheat Devs about 1 hour to bypass the latest Ricochet security updates.

To give you an idea of how bad/useless that is riot vanguard anti-cheat offers anyone who can bypass their security measures a fully paid job & a cash reward.
Players are also calling for Treyarch and Activision to step up their efforts to combat cheating, as it’s clearly spiraling out of control. Warzone player Jack ‘CourageJD’ Dunlop even suggested that the developers either pull the plug on Warzone entirely or adopt a “full court press” on hackers, including taking legal action against cheat websites and implementing an anti-cheat system as rigorous as Riot’s Vanguard.
At this point, it’s unclear how Activision plans to address this controversy and player disappointment. While they’ve taken action with lawsuits and ban waves in the past, it’s not enough to curb the issue. With Season 2 now underway, fans are hopeful the developers will prioritize a solution as we approach the mid-season update for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone.
