Call of Duty titles have made a habit these past few years of offering up various elements and features to certain players early. Be it in the form of an open beta or an early access period, there's usually a way to 'Try Before You Buy' when it comes to CoD titles.
Last year's Modern Warfare 3 offered up Campaign early access to those who had pre-ordered the game, giving them just over a week to dive in before everyone else on November 10. Not that anyone needed it, since the campaign could be completed in under 5 hours.
But it seems the same deal won't be on offer for Call of Duty's 2024 title, Black Ops 6.
Will Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Have Campaign Early Access?
In a statement sent to CharlieIntel, Activision confirmed that they will not be offering Campaign early access for Black Ops 6. Instead, it will only be available from launch on October 25, 2024.
The statement confirmed that everything will be released in "one massive global launch moment" and that "there is no Early Access beat this year for Black Ops 6, just the countdown to launch.”
So, even if you pre-order Black Ops 6, you won't be receiving any early access to the Campaign, Multiplayer, or Zombies. That said, there are still reasons to pre-order the title. All editions granted access to the open beta, but they will also come with the Woods Operator Pack, which includes:
- The “Classic Woods” Skin, which can be used immediately in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Warzone and Warzone Mobile.
- The “Zombie Woods” Skin, and the “Numbers Woods” Animated Skin, after completing a Challenge for each Skin, in Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 launches on October 25, 2024 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows.
