Hints suggest that Bendy: Lone Wolf might just be the next game to release in the Bendy franchise, and TheMeatly has provided no shortage of updates surrounding it recently. Just yesterday, he announced that the game would contain rogue-like gameplay and suggested that it'll be a re-release or redesign of Boris and the Dark Survival, a top-down Bendy experience featuring Boris the Wolf.
Today, he also revealed on X/Twitter that the game "will have a permadeath feature on the highest difficulty," suggesting that "only the toughest studio survivors will endure." This means that, like many other survival horror titles, Boris and the Dark Survival will have a mode where when players die, they'll have to start all over again.
This new permadeath function would make the game markedly different from the original Bendy and the Ink Machine, which doesn't have a manual save function and instead puts players back to the beginning of their objective if they die. This usually isn't very far, requiring players to re-do only a few minutes worth of playtime to get back to where they were before.
While many fans are looking forward to the release of Bendy Lone Wolf, there's a lot more to be excited about in the Bendy universe. A Bendy and the Ink Machine movie is coming, along with a Bendy 3 mainline game. TheMeatly also recently released Bendy: Secrets of the Machine by surprise; it's a free, short title that serves as a teaser for the next game, and hints at lore from various games in the Bendy universe.
