Publisher Ubisoft has a huge day awaiting them on 23rd January 2025 as they're preparing to release the official Story Trailer for the next mainline entry in the Assassin's Creed series. Following multiple delays, one more recently pushing Assassin's Creed Shadows to March from its February release date, the team is still moving forward as they continue to work on final touches for the upcoming action-adventure game.
The Story Trailer for Assassin's Creed Shadows premieres on the same day as the first Xbox Developer Direct presentation for 2025, during which players will be treated to first look at footage for some upcoming releases. Additionally, the preview embargo for Assassin's Creed Shadows lifts on the same day as the Story Trailer premiere, and players can look forward to GINX TV's preview later as we march toward the game's release.
Ubisoft announced on social media on 22nd January 2025 that the official Story Trailer for the upcoming entry in the Assassin's Creed series, Assassin's Creed Shadows, is set to debut on 23rd January 2025 at 9 am PT / 12 pm ET / 5 pm UTC / 6 pm CET. Alongside the trailer's premiere, Ubisoft will be hosting a two-hour livestream on their Twitch channel on the abovementioned date and time, where they'll be revealing official gameplay with game director Charles Benoit.
Following the official World Premiere trailer released last year, it has been a challenging road for the development teams across multiple Ubisoft studios in the lead-up to the game's release. Coupled with multiple delays moving its release from 15th November 2024 to 14th February 2025, it's now slated for its global launch on 20th March 2025, needing additional time to polish the game.
"While we've already made remarkable strides, we believe a few additional weeks are needed to implement that feedback and ensure an even more ambitious and engaging day-one experience," the series Executive Producer Marc-Alexis Côté stated in the official statement.
