We're less than a month away from the much-anticipated release of Assassin's Creed Shadows for consoles and PCs; publisher Ubisoft has unveiled its "visible" Achievement List for the upcoming action RPG. The game's Achievement List is mostly spoiler-free, except for a few "hidden" achievements that won't be revealed until the game's launch next month.

The publisher revealed these achievements via a post on their Steam page listing, providing additional information for the Achievement Hunters ahead of stepping into the scenic vistas of feudal Japan. Additionally, they teased that some achievements are also "puns and references to other games, more particularly to other Assassin’s Creed games" for players to decode before the game's launch.

Ubisoft released a new post on Steam on 26th February 2025 detailing the Achievement List for Assassin's Creed Shadows, due to launch on 20th March 2025. The publisher stated that when planning the game's Achievement List with their development team, the achievements will cover "a variety of game content – not just the main story, but also the additional content players can find in the world," including exploration, side quests, and other secondary activities, the Hideout base, getting acquainted with allies and more.

To gain the most out of their in-game experiences, players can switch between the game's protagonists, Naoe and Yasuke, to take advantage of their combat capabilities when the situation arises and, as such, can unlock all the achievements within a single playthrough. According to the aforementioned post, "These Steam achievements (which are the same as the Xbox achievements and PlayStation trophies) can all be earned in a single playthrough, meaning no achievement can be missed regardless of what story choices you make."

However, for players that wish to stick with one character for their entire playthrough, a second one will be required, especially when choosing to play as Naoe, as Yasuke has a few corresponding achievements like the "Art of Kenjutsu,""Adept Samurai," and "Leap of Fail" just to name. The latter achievement was alluded to by the publisher, who stated, "Your Leap of Fail will look just as spectacular whether you’re playing on story mode or on expert level, as all achievements are unlockable regardless of difficulty level."
