Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp shut its doors on November 28, 2024, seemingly putting an end to our campsite manager dreams. The game was available on mobile devices, and followed a free-to-start system with optional microtransactions for players to purchase in-game furniture and other items.
But, Nintendo weren't quite ready to remove Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp from our lives completely. On December 2, 2024, the studio released Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete — a paid, "complete" version of the Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp we remember.
Do You Have to Pay for Items in Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete?
Thankfully, no. Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete does not contain any microtransactions, meaning you won't need to pay for in-game items like you did in the original game. That's because Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete is a paid game. It can be bought for £8.99/$9.99 during its introductory offer period, running until Jan. 31, 2025. After this date, the game can be purchased for £17.99/$19.99.
According to the game's FAQ page, there are no in-game purchases for items. All features can be used after purchasing the game once. It also features some new additions of things that weren't in the original game, including Camper Cards which allow you to register other campers using QR Codes, replacing the Friends feature. A new location, Whistle Pass, has also been added which allows you to watch a musical performance from K.K. Slider every evening at 7PM.
While a few new events will be added over time, for the most part players can expect a lot of what was available over the seven years of Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp.
