Remedy Entertainment's latest offering, Alan Wake 2, received critical praise for its compelling narrative, stunning visuals, and impressive gameplay design. With the game being 13 years in the making, players have sunk their teeth into the depth-defying mystery that has reinvented the survival horror genre without being too cliche.
As for what's next for the studio, Creative Director Sam Lake revealed what dream project he wishes to work on next in a recent interview. As expected, his next ambitious project explores familiar genres and tones that have become synonymous with Remedy Entertainment despite his multi-year career, which doesn't appear to be slowing down soon.
Remedy Entertainment's Creative Director, Sam Lake, sat down with British GQ in a recent interview to discuss the development process for Alan Wake 2. Lake also discussed plans of what's to come following Alan Wake 2; when asked if he'll "do anything else," he responded that he's still thinking about it.

"There will be a time when I retire. It's just that… this has all been so engaging." Regarding if there's an ambitious project he dreams of working on next, Lake briefly hinted at what he desires to develop next: "One was this crazy, huge budget, dark gothic fantasy, which I haven't used for anything yet..."
Considered the studio's most ambitious project to date, the studio took a massive gamble by shifting from a single protagonist to dual protagonists (writer Alan Wake and FBI agent Saga Anderson) while blending live-action sequences with gameplay designs. For now, players can unravel the mysteries that took 13 years to conceptualize and develop in Alan Wake 2, with a planned DLC slated to release soon.
Alan Wake 2 is now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via the Epic Games Store and Steam. Remedy Entertainment confirmed the New Game+ is arriving shortly post-launch, featuring increased difficulty and an "alternative narrative."
