Can You Sleep in 7 Days to Die? How To Use Bedroll

Time to get some shut eye.
Can You Sleep in 7 Days to Die? How To Use Bedroll

In a lot of survival games, you will be required to eat, drink and sleep to - well, survive. For those who are just starting out in 7 Days to Die, you might be wondering if you can sleep in-game, and if so, how? Let me tell you!

Can You Sleep Through The Night In 7 Days to Die?

The short answer is no. Upon starting the game, you will be tasked with gathering ingredients to make a bedroll, but when it has been crafted, there's simply no way to interact with it, and now you're here.

I know what you're thinking - "Why would I make a bedroll if I can't use it to sleep?", and that would be a valid question. In 7 Days to Die, instead of using bedrolls to sleep in to pass the time through the night and regain stamina, they act as respawn points. So, wherever you last placed one of these sorry bedrolls is where you will respawn should you die - and you will die.

The most important item in the game? Maybe!

How Does The Bedroll Work In 7 Days To Die?

Should you not have a bedroll placed at the time of your death, you will respawn at a random location on the map, meaning you could spawn far away from where you plan to set up your base. So, top tip: always make a bedroll before doing anything else.

Upon dying in 7 Days to Die, you will select one of two options; "Spawn on bed" or "Spawn nearby bed", although these seem pretty self-explanatory, selecting the latter will randomly spawn you 80 blocks away from your bed.

Your bedroll does have an extra use though! It will stop zombies from spawning near you, meaning you can make yourself a pretty neat camp without fear of being attacked constantly.

There we have it, now you know if you can sleep in 7 Days to Die, and don't forget to check out our other guides here.
