Surviving in the Sky Islands and Hyrule is more than just finding the right weapon or armor piece. There are several factors that influence traversal and combat in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
One such quintessential factor is fire. In Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you can use fire to cook meals, fast forward time, keep yourself warm in snow areas, light up weapons, and more. But how do you start a fire? There are several ways to go about it, and here's our guide explaining just that.
How to Light a Fire in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
The easiest way to light a fire in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is by dropping a bunch of wood sticks and flint on the ground and striking the flint with a metal weapon to light it up. However, you may not have wood sticks or flints on you at all times, so this can become an issue.
Thankfully, wood sticks are much easier to acquire. There are trees scattered all over Hyrule. Simply go over to them and use an axe or a sword to chop them off into wood sticks.
There are plenty of creative ways to start a fire as well in Tears of the Kingdom. One of them is by using a Flame Emitter. Strike it with a weapon, and it will start gushing fire like a dragon until its battery runs out. Flame Emitter is incredibly handy for taking down groups of smaller enemies. You can find these in the wild or craft them using any of the Zonai Device Dispensers.
If you're feeling adventurous, another funny but dangerous way to light a fire is by throwing a bomb flower on a grass surface. You can use this to light up an entire area. You can also use Fire Fruits to do just the same.
That's just a few ways to start a fire in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
