A new sales report has revealed that the Xbox Series X and the Xbox Series S have hit a grand total of 2m after 128 weeks on the market, which means that they've hit the landmark 12 weeks faster than the Nintendo Switch did. This makes the current-generation Microsoft systems the eighth fastest-selling home console launch in UK history, with the console generating £696 million overall revenue throughout its current lifespan as of the time of writing.
The top ten fastest-selling home console launches in the UK currently sit as follows:

- PS4

- Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X

The PlayStation 5 reached two million sales in October of last year, taking 98 weeks to hit that number. The Nintendo Wii, the current lead in home console launches, took a mere 57 weeks to hit two million sales, a little over a year. In terms of Microsoft machines, the Xbox One and the Xbox 360 all reached two million sales faster than the Xbox Series X and Series S, taking 104 weeks and 110 weeks respectively to meet that sales milestone.
