In its third year since returning to the franchise, WWE 2K24 MyGM is more complex and challenging than ever before. Thanks to new features like the ability to level up and trading between brands, there are entirely new strategies to consider as players build a Hall of Fame caliber brand. 

From picking your WWE 2K24 GM to booking your biggest shows, we'll go through all the most important tips and tricks players need in this WWE 2K24 MyGM beginner's guide. MyGM can feel overwhelmingly packed with information, but keeping a few key principles in mind can make all the difference.

WWE 2K24 MyGM Beginner's Guide: Best Brand & GM

The first decision you have to make when starting a new WWE 2K24 MyGM save is which GM to use and which brand they'll control. While every GM comes with their own unique power cards, there is actually one single General Manager selection that stands above the rest. The best GM to use in MyGM is definitely Xavier Woods.

Rest assured you can get plenty of success out of the other GM options, but Xavier Woods has the massively powerful Cheat Code Power Card allowing you to outright steal a superstar (that isn't a title holder) from an opponent's roster starting in Week 2. You can essentially score a several hundred thousand dollar superstar for free every season.

Most of the brands are pretty evenly balanced, but ECW is the most difficult to succeed with. Taking a nod from the brand's own history and lack of a real women's division, they don't have a women's title or women's tag team title. This takes away two titles you could normally use to boost ratings on women's matches.

Best MyGM Settings

Once you've decided on your own brand and GM, as well as the ones you'll be facing off against, it's time to get your WWE 2K24 MyGM settings situated. AI Difficulty will impact the skill of your opposing CPU brands and Game Difficulty will increase budget, morale, and stamina costs.

Draft Pool is crucial for anyone looking to customize their experience. If there are superstars you don't want in the pool, or if you want to add a few legends (or your MyRISE superstar) into the regular lineup rather than being free agent, you can change almost every aspect of that potential roster.

We recommend keeping Shake Ups set to "On" and Match Unlocks set to "Default" on your first tries, as both are important aspects of how the current MyGM experience is built. However, players can turn off Shake Ups or choose "Classic" for Match Unlocks to make every match type available at the start of MyGM.

MyGM Keepers & Trading Explained

After every PLE (except WrestleMania since it ends your season), there will be an opportunity to trade with other brands. When you've got a lower budget in early seasons, you may just want to skip past this rather than risking the costs. However, it can be useful when you have the resources on hand.

Be careful of taking anyone whose Stamina is too low, but also watch for low Morale as it can sometimes make it easier to get the opposing GM to accept a lower value trade for that superstar. Trading is something you can easily ignore until later seasons, but it has plenty of value if you want to focus on it.

At the end of every season, you'll have the opportunity to select Keepers for your MyGM save. You'll still have a chance at grabbing several in the ensuing draft, but anyone you want to be sure doesn't slip away (like a superstar or local talent you leveled up) should be among your Keepers. The first place brand only gets three Keepers, and every other brand gets additional Keepers based on ranking.

WWE 2K24 MyGM Tips and Tricks

Every single WWE 2K24 MyGM save is going to come with different challenges, but a few principles will help you keep the ship aligned even through the rough weeks. If you want to go into the Hall of Fame, remember that Stamina and Rivalries are king.

Always book higher stamina stars week to week, and utilize run-ins and call out promos to get your Rivalries leveled up. You want as many Level 4 rivalries as possible at every single PLE, and week to week booking should focus on building towards that. Especially early on, don't bother using your budget on unique match types week to week, only at the PLE to resolve rivalries.

As you earn more revenue and get Assets (automatically awarded each week), you'll want to start upgrading Show Logistics. All of these can be helpful, but Arena is most important. Upgrading the Arena will allow for significantly higher ticket revenue, and that will net you the money to then upgrade other Show Logistics much faster.
