Wild Rift Orianna build guide: Best runes, spells, items, roles, tips and tricks, more

The new instalment and mobile adaptation of Riot Games' flagship game, League of Legends: Wild Rift, is coming to new regions around the world, something that players have been waiting for since its initial release into open beta.

And to get you prepared we are putting together guides for each of the game's champions. The one you are reading now is for one of the oldest and best-climbed centre lane champions since her launch in June 2011: Orianna, the Lady of Clockwork.

Orianna: Her active and passive skills

Her passive ability, Clockwork Windup, is simple but deadly, allowing all of Orianna's attacks to deal additional magic damage, damage that will gradually increase if her attacks are aimed at the same target.

Recommended Runes and Spells for Orianna

For this, we will take a slightly different approach from our other guides, as Orianna has two main focuses, as a powerful magician with burst-style combos in the middle lane, or in the bottom lane as a utility support, thanks to her defensive abilities. and repositioning.

As a mid laner:

• Electrocute: It makes her a difficult opponent in the lane phase, thanks to its additional damage, in addition to increasing her burst damage allowing her to exterminate enemies on her own.
• Brutal: Grants bonus AP and magic penetration, substantially increasing your burst damage.
• Hunter - Titan: Grants bonus health and increased crowd control resistance with each takedown, increasing your chances of survival.
• Hunter - Genius: Grants additional cooldown reduction with each unique takedown.

As support:

• Aery: A great resource due to its utility value, as it can damage enemies and protect allies.
• Weakness: Increases your team's damage to slowed opponents or with crowd control effects.
  Loyalty: Provides additional armour and magic resistance to you and your closest ally.
• Pack Hunter: Grants bonus movement speed when near an ally. Additionally, unique takedowns will grant you and your closest ally bonus gold.

As in the case of Ahri, being burst champions, she must have spells focused on mobility, in addition to giving her extra resources to survive exchanges with other champions of this style, so it will be common to carry her with these spells:

• Flash: A must-pick for Orianna, as she is an immobile champion who fights against explosive damage enemies.
• Barrier: This is a great pick for her, as it gives her room to play against aggressive enemies.

The best items for Orianna

As with the runes, Orianna's objects can be decisive for either of the two situations, however, there are some options which will be key to choose in both compositions:

• Ionian Boots of Lucidity: Increases cooldown reduction, allowing you to cast your abilities as much as possible. We recommend using them with Stasis to counter other burst champions, or with Mercury for crowd control.
• Rabadon's Deathcap: Grants the highest amount of AP in the game. Thanks to this, you will be able to eliminate most of the champions with a skill combo.
• Void Staff: In combination with the Rabadon, it allows you to destroy champions with a combo thanks to the large amount of magic penetration it grants.
• Morellonomicon: Grants magic penetration and Grievous Wounds, essential for countering tanks and omnivampirism.

Now, for your support arsenal her key objects will be:

• Harmonic Echo: Provides a healing effect to you and 3 other allied champions each time you activate her shield.
• Ardent Censer: Increases attack speed and grants additional power to her basic attacks and shield.

Finally, we recommend purchasing Luden's Echo, Awakened Soulstealer, Infinity Orb and Archangel's Staff as additional options, while we recommend Athene's Unholy Grail as support.

Tips for Orianna’s play style.

Orianna has a large amount of damage at the beginning of the game, thanks to her active abilities, allowing her to finish off any enemy thanks to her Attack and Dissonance orders, as well as being able to get out of risky situations with Protect.

In addition to this, her Ball's mobility and attack range allow her to harass champions from a good distance, even if enemies are behind her minions.

This allows her to be able to initiate the siege with a better spot since with enemy minions out of circulation, she leaves opponents no choice but to reply to her approaches, something for which Orianna's abilities are prepared.

Moving towards her focus as a support, the proper use of Protect and Dissonance can be a big factor when trading attacks, allowing your allies to move forward in the fight and create distance between enemies, keeping them safe and on the attack for longer.

Even if Orianna doesn't have a lot of AP, her abilities allow her to face elusive champions, and her Shockwave can be crucial at the right moments, reaching a before and after in the game if the right objectives are achieved.
