Warzone 2 BAS-P SMG: How To Unlock, Stats, Platform & More

Call of Duty: Warzone 2 Season 01 and Modern Warfare 2 Season 01 feature four new Functional Weapons, two of which are released right at the start of the season on 16th November 2022. We've already covered the Victus XMR Sniper Rifle, and now it is time to look at the new BAS-P submachine gun (SMG).

This article explains how you can easily and quickly unlock the BAS-P SMG in Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2, alongside its stats and weapon platform, so let's get started.

Update on 17 November 2022: We've updated this article to reflect the exact map Sector in the Battle Pass needed to unlock the BAS-P SMG in Warzone 2 and MW2 Season 01.

How To Unlock BAS-P SMG in Warzone 2 & MW2 Season 01

Warzone 2 and MW2 players can unlock the new BAS-P SMG via the new Battle Pass system. It is available for free players, so there is no need to purchase the battle pass.

The Season 01 battle pass is in the form of a map with 20 Sectors. Each of these Sectors has five items. Players will need to level up to earn Tokens, which can be used to Unlock a new, adjacent Sector or more items in the current Sector.

To unlock the BAS-P in MW2, you will want to head straight to Sector A6 on the Battle Pass map as soon as possible. It is a high-value target (HVT). You will need 15 Battle Token Tier Skips to get there.

Due to the nature of the new Battle Pass, it should be very quick and easy to unlock the BAS-P SMG. You simply need to select the correct Sector on the BP map where the BAS-P is, and unlock it once you level up the first several times.

BAS-P SMG Stats/Platform in Warzone 2 & MW2

First off, an official description of the BAS-P alludes to its speed and deadly TTK: "An aggressive fire rate and modular frame make the BAS-P perfect for the discerning operator who wants to customize their submachine gun. Subsonic ammo hides kill skulls from the enemy team."

The weapon clocks in at a solid 870 rounds per minute, putting it just below the PSDW 528. However, its ammo is the same as the MX9, making it a potential powerhouse at closer ranges. The new SMG forms part of the Bruen Ops Platform. 

Remember, each new Warzone 2, and MW2 weapon can use attachments from other weapons across the arsenal. Once unlocked, they will come with new Base Camos to use across all weapons and will count toward the road to Orion Mastery Camo.
