So you have just started The Division 2 and are looking for the Castle Settlement? In the early hours, The Division 2 can be an overwhelming experience as you meet new NPCs, unlock more side content, donate materials to Settlements, explore Dark Zone, and more. Navigating its treachours open world is no easy feat either, especially solo.
The Castle is one of the early Settlements you can come across in The Division 2. If you didn't know, Settlements are home bases where you can interact with other NPCs, pick up side quests, and donate materials, just to name a few. Some Settlements can also be upgraded for new and unique rewards. But how exactly do you unlock the Castle Settlement?
Division 2 Castle Settlement Location & How To Unlock
You can't unlock the Castle Settlement in The Division 2 because it's an abandoned facility in ruins. You can find traces of chemicals all over the area, which makes it unsuitable for human habitat. Since there are no people here, you can't upgrade this Settlement.
Interestingly, you can still visit the Castle though it's greyed out on the map. You can find it next to the East Mall. Its exact location is marked in the screenshot above. Strangely enough, you do have to visit the Castle at least once during The Division 2 campaign to find Agent Kelso.
However, before you do so, we recommend leveling up to at least 15 and unlocking The Ring safe house on its right. This way, you can always fast travel here whenever you feel like visiting the Castle. There's also a Control Point beyond its walls should you fancy some action.
That concludes our guide on the Castle settlement in The Division 2
