Fans who have been waiting to pre-order the upcoming Texas Chain Saw Massacre game will need to wait just a little bit longer until more gameplay previews are out to get their hands on the game said developers Gun Interactive in a recent Tweet.
"It's our responsibility to create the most authentic [Texas Chain Saw Massacre] experience as we can," the developer stated. "Once we've proven that to you, then I think it's appropriate to discuss preorders."
Texas Chain Saw Massacre Pre-Orders Update
The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is an asymmetrical 5v1 horror game based on the 1974 film. The game was announced last year, and many players have been wondering how they can pre-order the game prior to its release on Steam.
For now, the game is still in development, but developers have responded to fans' requests to pre-order the game on Twitter.
Gun Interactive says that before asking players to commit to pre-ordering the game, they want players to "see a match" and "absorb what we've made" - which likely means the studio plans on releasing more gameplay footage, and potentially even completing the public tech test - before allowing them to actually purchase the game for themselves.
Texas Chain Saw Massacre is planned for release on 18th August 2023. In the meantime, developers have already released one unrated gameplay trailer:
If you want to try out Texas Chain Saw Massacre before the game goes live, you can always try your hand at getting into thetech testthat's going on starting 25th Mary 2023. The tech test will be available to the public but will have a limited number of seats. If you want to make sure you're on the waitlist, be sure to wishlist the game on Steam.
That's about it for what we know about Texas Chain Saw Massacre game pre-orders right now; while you're not able to get your hands on the game quite yet, players will get to see more of the game's gameplay soon!
