Tarkov Gunsmith Part 15 Mechanic Quest Guide

What used to be Escape from Tarkov's Gunsmith Part 11, is now Gunsmith Part 15. Feast your eyes upon this modern-day monstrosity, the night vision AS VAL. After completing Mechanics Gunsmith Part 14 and reaching level 29, Mechanic will offer you Gunsmith Part 15, where you are requested to modify an AS VAL to meet specific demands. 

The AS VAL is an incredibly unique weapon, designed for special forces units by TsNIITochMash, the Avotmat Specialniy VAL is a silenced automatic rifle with an integral suppressor and is based on the VSS Vintorez platform. The AS VAL was widely used in the early ages of Escape from Tarkov, being the main "meta" weapon from 2016-18, since the implementation of newer and modernized weapons, the usage of the AS VAL has significantly decreased. 

What Do You Need to Do for Gunsmith Part 15

Gunsmith Part 15 will require a series of weapon attachments for the AS VAL following these criteria:

• 60 Durability
• 33 or more ergonomics
• 200 or less recoil
• FAB Defense GL-SHOCK buttstock
• AN/PEQ-15 tactical device
• NSPU-M night vision scope
• 9x39 SR3M.130 30-round magazine

You can purchase the AS VAL from the Flea market or Prapor Loyalty Level four, the weapon shouldn't be too expensive, however, check the durability again. The AS VAL also spawns on scavs and inside weapon crates, allowing players to locate a spare weapon easily to save themselves money. 

How To Complete Gunsmith Part 15

To complete Gunsmith Part 15, modify the AS VAL with these attachments:

These weapon attachments are easily obtainable from the Flea market or from the Merchants, being a minimum of level twenty-nine, players are going to be able to find ease in the majority of the tasks coming their way. In comparison to where you began, Gunsmith Part 15 has proved you worthy, coming this far and remaining loyal to the grind. 

Gunsmith Part 15 Rewards

The rewards for Gunsmith Part 15 are as follows:

• +19,400 EXP
• Mechanic Rep +0.02
• 1× Kiba Arms inner gate door key
• 1× Pressure gauge
• Unlocks purchase of VSS/VAL TOZ 6P29M mount at Jaeger LL3

Players are finally reaching the upper bracket for XP rewards, obtaining 19,400 XP from this singular task and aiding you on the venture to Kappa container. The Kiba Arms' inner gate door key unlocks an amazing location in Interchange. The store is located in the center of the shopping mall close to Killa's spawn, needing both the outer and inner gate door keys, the keys will unlock a firearms shop, giving access to fully modified weapons within the store for free. The pressure gauge is helpful to use within the hideout or to sell to earn money for the next seven Gunsmith tasks.
