Best Escape from Tarkov RPD & RPDN Builds

The RPD and RPDN are likely the most exciting guns bought to Escape from Tarkov by Battlestate Games, simply because of their history. These weapons are famously known by the FPS community and bringing them to Tarkov changes the game completely.

Both weapons have low recoil for machine guns, allowing players to tear up the streets and arenas of Tarkov, leading to players wanting to know the best builds! 

Best RPDN Build In Escape from Tarkov

This RPDN utterly destroys any foes that trespass against it, being an ideal weapon of choice by most experienced Escape from Tarkov players. Intimidation, authenticity, and beauty are facets of this weapon, here's how to build it:

• Scope: EOTech XPS3-2 holographic sight 
• Scope Mount: Axion Kobra dovetail mount
• Bipod: RPD bipod (don't ever remove for higher ergonomics)
• Laser: NcSTAR Tactical blue laser LAM-Module
• Barrel: RPD 7.62x39 520mm barrel

Despite most players removing the bipod, having it attached keeps the ergonomics of the weapon at a higher level, allowing for better handling. The low recoil allows players to optimize the usage of a weapon scope, especially in this case; a holographic sight. 

Best RPD Build In Escape from Tarkov

Most players assume the RPD and RPDN are the same weapon, however, they're not. The RPD doesn't allow for a weapon scope and is a more outdated weapon. This leads to players being forced to take the closer-range approach; which is great for room clearing.

Although this weapon lacks the typical endless list of modifications, the weapon provides an excellent companion at close-range battles. This belt-fed 100-round machine gun can pack hundreds of rounds through doors, hallways, walls, and players effortlessly.
