Stray - Where To Find Midtown Cassette Tape & All Camera Locations

Here's how to destroy security cameras and retrieve the Midtown cassette tape in Stray (and not lose all nine lives while doing so).
Stray - Where To Find Midtown Cassette Tape & All Camera Locations

Stray has a robust yet intriguing gameplay mechanic where the cat protagonist and their droid companion, B-12, utilize puzzles to complete activities and quest missions. Often, these require specific items to be located and added to your inventory.

The cassette tape is one of many collectibles players can locate and acquire during Chapter 10 - Midtown events, but you need to help a group of robots in exchange. This guide explains how to find the Midtown cassette tape and all camera locations in Stray.

Stray - How To Get Midtown Cassette Tape

To begin tracking down the cassette tape, head to the massive holographic stand in the main square from the entrance of Midtown. Then, take the street to the right from the stand towards an apartment complex and look for a group of droids frequenting a nearby tree.

Find the robot wearing a white hooded sweatshirt, Simon; this will trigger the quest, "Grab cassette tape." Obtaining the cassette tape isn't easy as the robot will inform you that he'll give you the tape if you can help him with a task.

Since they cannot enjoy listening to music in public spaces due to the security cameras installed, you'll need to take them out first. Three cameras are scattered throughout the complex, with two being easy to find.

From the white-hooded robot, turn around, head up the staircase left of them, make a left turn, and go down the corridor. Find a balcony overlooking the lobby before leaping onto the banister. You can spot the first camera and notice that another robot will be waving at you.

Jump onto the camera before jumping off, breaking it and causing it to fall to the ground. The second camera is across from your current location, but you'll need to jump back onto the balcony area and make a left turn.

Jump onto the fan before leaping onto a shelf to reach the second camera. Then, jump onto the camera and back onto the shelf to destroy it before locating the third and final camera.

The last camera is tricky to locate, but from the second camera's location, continue down the corridor and make a left turn. Before jumping onto the banister, find the yellow cord dangling above before walking across a platform to destroy the camera.

Finally, return to the lobby to speak with Simon, who will thank you for helping them play music again and award you with a cassette tape. You can use it to play music from a cassette player found inside a clothing shop to distract the storeowner as you steal a Worker's Jacket and Helmet.
