Smash Ultimate commentator Cinnpie accused of having a relationship with a 14-year-old boy

During the last couple of weeks, we've been hearing terrible stories surfacing on the esports scene and the gaming industry in general.

Stories of misconduct, sexual and emotional abuse, rape and other horrible misdeeds that were being swept under the rug, for far too long. But now people are feeling empowered and free to share their stories.

The latest victim to share his story is a young American Super Smash Bros. Ultimate player Puppeh.

Puppeh, who has just turned 18 on the 28th of May, shared his experience from four years ago when he was only 14 years old.

In this Twitlonger post, he goes into detail about the relationship he had with popular Smash Ultimate commentator Cinnpie, which occurred during the summer of 2016. At the time, she was a few months shy of being 25 years old.

Puppeh talks about how they were really good friends at the time, but how he now realizes that he was manipulated, used, and sexualized.

Even before the summer of 2016 Cinnamon initiated sexual conversations on Snapchat with him, but the first alleged incident happened during a party they had with other Smash players after some tournament.

He explains how the older players were all drunk, and at one point she followed him to the bathroom and started kissing with him, which he says was not opposed to "since I was 14 at the time and I liked her a lot."

He claims this was only one of many times he had a sexual experience with her during that summer, but adds that their sexual relationship "escalated as far as oral sex."

Allegedly, she forced him to delete their Facebook messages and was constantly reminding him that they should keep their relationship in secret.

Puppeh explains that he has shared all of this now because he is tired of being silent.

"I’m so tired of having to be silent for years and years now, and I’m tired of hurting over it. I’m not looking for revenge or anything like I would’ve been back then when I was petty and immature. I am writing this in hopes to simply just be at peace with myself and move on from this period of my life. I have been depressed for so long in major part due to that summer. I’m tired of hurting over this and being afraid to speak out."

Rumours about Cinnpie sleeping with Puppeh first surfaced in 2019, but both Puppeh and Cinnpie denied it at the time.  

At the time of writing this article, Cinnpie is yet to respond to this accusation.
