In the Silent Hill 2 remake, James will face off against two Pyramid Heads towards the end of his story - much like in the original game. This fight is preceded by the nine Save Squares, one of the most iconic symbols in the game. Here's how to defeat the two Pyramid Heads in Silent Hill 2.
How To Defeat The Two Pyramid Heads
Once you've saved at the nine Save Squares (if you like), enter the doors ahead to enter the fight with two Pyramid Heads. You'll first see a cutscene, and then the fight will immediately begin.
Both Pyramid Heads will try to corner you, slicing at you with their Great Knife when they get close. This attack has a surprisingly long range and does a good bit of damage. So, the best approach to this fight is to keep your distance, using your Rifle to shoot at the Pyramid Heads. This can sometimes be easier said than done, since these creatures are pretty quick. If you end up cornered, use your dodge and get as far away as you can.
Throughout the fight, you may find yourself running low on ammo or health items. They'll be scattered in each corner of the room, so pick them up when it's safe to do so.
Eventually, one of the Pyramid Heads will freeze up and stop attacking you. The fight will get a lot easier at this point, since you've now only got one enemy to take down. Pyramid Head will continue using the same approach, so you should, too. Continue shooting at the Pyramid Head using ideally either your Shotgun or Rifle (though you can use the Handgun as a last resort). Don't ever get close, since the Pyramid Head's ranged attack can easily still deal massive damage.
Eventually, the second Pyramid Head will also freeze up, ending the fight and triggering a cutscene. With that, you've officially beaten the Two Pyramid Heads boss battle in Silent Hill 2.
