Ubisoft has teamed up with Netflix for a special event based on Spanish crime drama series La Casa de Papel, otherwise known as Money Heist, which features special skins for use in the game’s Bank map.
During the event, hostages on the map will be sporting the show’s red outfit and highly unsettling masks. Hibana and Vigil will also wear the eye-catching outfits, with eight items added in total from the uniforms, headgear, weapon skins, and charms.
If you particularly like the skins, you can also purchase them for permanent use through two separate bundles on the in-game store. Hibana’s Heist Bundle features the red jumpsuit, emboldened headgear, Tokyo charm, and Regal Mint weapon skin for the TYPE-89, while Vigil’s Accomplice Bundle has the same red jumpsuit, nameless headgear, surrealist charm, and Fresh Paper weapon skin for the K1A.
It’s slightly odd the skins aren’t available for all the operators, and you aren’t even taking part in an actual heist, but it’s welcome, goofy event nonetheless. The crossover event runs from now until 25 November.
From Thursday (21 November) until Sunday (24 November), Rainbow Six Siege will also be free to play on all platforms and will be discounted too. On the PlayStation store, the game’s Gold Edition is now available for £37.49, reduced from £49.99.
The free to play weekend also coincides with the UK ESL Premiership finals in Manchester on Saturday (23 November), which sees teams Fierce Esports, MnM, NaVi, and I’m With The Boys compete for the top spot.
