Pokémon GO October 2022 Spotlight Hours – All Featured Pokémon

As Fashion Week picks up in Pokémon GO, Niantic has also announced all the planned Spotlight Hours during October. Pokémon GO Spotlight Hours are a fantastic way to catch an abundance of a certain Pokémon. They only last an hour, so trainers need to be on their toes to catch all the Pokémon available.

Thankfully like Pokémon GO raids, the spotlight hours are announced ahead of time and they are on a fixed schedule. Here, we will be detailing what Pokémon you can expect during these spotlight hours, when to find them, and what bonuses you will get from them.

What Pokémon Will Appear During October Spotlight Hours

Spotlight Hours in Pokémon only last for one hour, so knowing when they are happening is essential for participation. In October, the spotlight hours are happening on October 4th, October 11th, October 18th, and October 25th. All these dates fall on a Tuesday.

The Spotlight Hour will start at 6 pm local time and will end at 7 pm local time. That means you do not have to worry about waking up outside of your time zone to participate in the Spotlight Hours. A Spotlight Hour is much like a Community Day, where an abundance of a single Pokémon will appear in the game.

Because it is the month of October, the spotlight hours will feature some spooky dark and ghost type pokemon for you to catch. Here are the Pokémon that are featured during Spotlight Hours and what days you can catch them:

• October 4 - Purrloin
• October 11 - Haunter
• October 18 - Misdreavus
• October 25 - Shuppet

On top of the Pokémon that are going to be featured during Spotlight Hours, Pokémon GO players will also get special bonuses for participating during this time. The special bonuses are as follows:

• October 4 - 2x XP for evolving Pokémon 
• October 11 - 2x Stardust for catching Pokémon
• October 18 - 2x XP for catching Pokémon 
• October 25 - 2x XP for evolving Pokémon 

So not only are Spotlight Hours a good time to catch a lot of featured Pokémon, it is a good time to build up XP as well.

As for shiny Pokémon, only Misdreavus and Shuppet have a chance to be shiny during Spotlight Hours. All Purrloin and Haunter caught during their spotlight hours will be normal.

On top of all of those bonuses, Niantic has also said that on October 25th for the Shuppet Spotlight Hour, they have something special available for them. Niantic said that Trainers should bring their Buddy Pokémon for the beginning and the end of this Spotlight Hour.
