Palia Romance Guide: How To Romance Subira

The v0.176 patch update added new content, including new Star-Quality Starstones, new Premiums Outfits and Gliders, new Furnishings, ingredients, and more, excluding the Maji Market content. One of the anticipated content added in this patch update, is the new Romance questline for Subira, the Watcher of the Order.

As such, players are queuing up at Ormuu's Horn Inn to max their Friendship levels and trigger her Romance questline, but how can this be achieved? We've explained in this love-filled guide on the requirements needed to unlock Subira's Romance questline in Palia.

How To Unlock Subira's Romance Quests In Palia?

Developer Singularity 6 announced that the Watcher, Subira, is now a romanceable character with her Romance questline available in Palia. This was explained in the 0.176 patch notes, in which the developer detailed how players can unlock what they must progress and max their Friendship level with her.

They can raise their Friendship levels with her by speaking to her, giving her Daily Gifts, fulfilling her Weekly Wants, and completing three Friendship quests, which are as follows: 

• Underground Affairs
• Pursuit of the Truth
• All in Order

After maxing their Friendship with Subira, they can visit her in her room at Ormuus Horn Inn and speak to her to gain a new dialogue option to flirt with her. Flirting with Subira can be achieved by gifting her either a Box of Chocolates or a Heartdrop Lily, which triggers her Romance questline, and they can begin to raise their Romance level with her.

Players can raise their Romance level with Subira and every other eligible Villager by speaking to them once every Palian day and gifting her a Box of Chocolates or a Heartdrop Lily. They'll be able to unlock the three Romance quests, starting with High Stakes, and progress with her questline until her final quest is unlocked and completed to receive her Pin.

Players should remember they can equip a maximum of two Villager pins at any given time to unlock new dialogue with other Villagers when interacting with them. The developer has noted that there's no limit to how many Villagers can have romantic relationships, as they can Romance one or all Villagers in Kilima Village and Bahari Bay.

Palia is currently available via the Epic Games Store and in Open Beta for PC, as players can install the game launcher detailed in this guide. The game is now available to download for Nintendo Switch as of 14th December 2023.
