Palia Quest Guide: How To Complete Mix It Up Quest

Reth appears to have rubbed a few Villagers the wrong way with his famed Lettuce Soup and needs your help to find some inspiration. Unfortunately, he's at odds with Killima Village's head librarian, Caleri, and it's up to you to help him find inspiration for the next specials at Ormuu's Horn Inn.

These events unravel in the Mix It Up quest as your main objectives are to speak to Caleri on Reth's behalf and leave the library with a recipe. In this guide, we've detailed how to complete this quest and leave the library feeling inspired in Palia.

Palia Mix It Up Quest Objective List

Mix It Up is the first quest in Caleri's questline, which you'll receive from Reth as he's too afraid to speak with the head librarian. For this quest, you will determine the fate of Reth's kitchen as he's looking for inspiration on what to cook next at the restaurant in Ormuu's Horn Inn, and he

1. Ask Caleri about recipes
2. Do one of the following: Fancy cookbook or Dessert cookbook
3. Bring Reth the recipe you found

How To Complete The Mix It Up Quest In Palia?

The Mix It Up quest formally introduces players to Kilima Village's local librarian, Caleri, as Reth requested you to help him obtain more recipes. To achieve this, you'll need to locate the library near the entrance to the town square, as Jina often frequents the library, and Hekla can be seen guarding its entrance.

Once inside, speak to Caleri regarding the recipes you're looking for, and she'll immediately know you're inquiring on Reth's behalf. In her anger and frustration, she'll reveal that she's still trying to get the stains out from her ceiling and that Reth is trying to get out of his punishment.

While you don't implore the events that caused a rift between Caleri and Reth, she'll let you peruse one of the cookbooks from which you will decide which to acquire a recipe. Your options are between getting a recipe from a Fancy or Dessert cookbook as there are no implications on choosing either.

Once you've selected a cookbook and have gotten a recipe, head back to Reth and hand him over the cookbook you've borrowed from the library. In return, he'll thank you for bringing him the cookbook, and as a gesture of thanks, you'll receive his in-house special, Reth's Lettuce Soup, plus Renown as quest rewards.
