With Nuketown’s return in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, players eagerly jumped back into the fast-paced, nostalgic action that this compact nuclear testing site offers. Yet, a notable easter egg that once defined the map’s charm remains absent, leaving many players wondering if it will make a comeback soon.
Black Ops 6 Nuketown Mannequin Easter Egg Is Still Missing
Nuketown has been an iconic map in every Black Ops title since its debut in Black Ops 1, and with its latest iteration now available in Black Ops 6, fans were thrilled to see one of their favorite maps return. However, one staple feature seems to be missing from this remastered version: the Mannequin easter egg.
For those unfamiliar, every Black Ops Nuketown map has featured a unique Mannequin easter egg. In previous games, shooting off all the mannequins’ heads within a time limit would trigger it. In the original Black Ops, this activated Sympathy for the Devil by The Rolling Stones, while in Black Ops 4, a rocket would launch from the center of the map.
However, players report that the mannequin easter egg is currently absent in the Black Ops 6 version of Nuketown. Many have attempted to activate it by shooting all the mannequins, but without success. Some theorize that it may be due to an inaccessible boundary around the mannequins inside the bus, preventing players from triggering the sequence.
While it’s unclear if this is a bug, an inaccessible easter egg, or simply an omission, we’re hopeful Treyarch will restore this iconic feature. As soon as we have more information or a confirmed method for unlocking it, we’ll provide a full breakdown here. Stay tuned for updates!
