The Outriders demo has shown us that there is a huge hunger amongst looter-shooter fans for a new high-quality game in this genre.

The demo allowed players to play only a small portion of Outriders, but the game instantly gathered a huge fan base, and they can't wait to play the game

If you are among those fans and for you, the game can't come soon enough, here's everything you need to know about the game's launch so that you are prepared and able to play the game as soon as it becomes available.

Outriders global release times: When is the game available in my region?

The game officially releases on 1st April 2021, but it won't be available in all regions at the same time.

For consoles, the game releases on 1st April at midnight local time, and that goes for all consoles: PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S.

When it comes to PC (Epic Games, Steam), these are global release times:

• Los Angeles 9 am PT (1st April)
• New York 12 pm ET (1st April)
• Brasilia 1 pm BRT (1st April)
• London 5 pm BST (1st April)
• Berlin 6 pm CET (1st April)
• Moscow 7 pm MSK (1st April)
• Abu Dhabi 8 pm GST (1st April)
• Tokyo 1 am JST (2nd April)

Outriders preloading: How to pre-load on Xbox, PS4, PS4, and PC

If you are impatient and you want to have your game ready for playing at the same moment it got released, you will want to pre-load it.

The game will become available a few days before the release so expect pre-load to start sometime early next week. Here's how you can pre-load the game on all platforms.

How to preload Outriders on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One?

• From the Xbox home screen, open "My games and apps"
• Select "Games"
• Find Outriders and select it
• Press "A" to open the installation menu
• Select "Manage installation on Internal"
• If the game is available for download you will be able to checkmark "will install"
• Select "Save changes" and you will be able to see your game downloading
• Make sure that the console is on or in standby mode while the game is being downloaded or you will interrupt the process

How to preload Outriders on PS4/PS5

When the preload becomes available, if you preordered the game, it will appear in your collection of PlayStation games.

• From the PlayStation home screen, open your library.
• Select "Purchased" games.
• Find Outriders and select it.
• If the game is available for preload, the "Download" button will be available just below the icon of the game.
• Just push the Download button and that's it, your PlayStation will start downloading Outriders.
• Make sure that the console is on or in standby mode while the game is being downloaded or you will interrupt the process.

How to preload on PC

The Epic Games Store is still not supporting pre-loading, so there you will have to wait for the official release.

On Steam, you will be able to download the game just as any other game the moment it becomes available for pre-load, but you will have to wait until the official release in order to play it.

What is the download size of Outriders on PS4/PS5?

The Outriders file size is revealed as 70 GB, so you will need to have at least that amount of free space on your drive in order to install the game.

Developers People Can Fly are planning Day 1 Update as well.

"This is a patch we're hoping to have ready and integrated into pre-loading even before launch," they explained. "If everything goes to plan you won’t even have to download this on Day, but there is a possibility that this patch will release on April 1st (day one) and will therefore require an additional download."
