The full release of Outriders is finally here, and an already big player base will have a lot of new content to dive into.
Developers People Can Fly stated that just the main story campaign will take around 25-30 hours to complete, but that's just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to looter-shooters, as the main appeal is in playing on the progressively harder levels of difficulty and hunting for the ever-better gear and those elusive legendary items.
It is safe to assume that players will have hundreds of hours to spend in Outriders.
Still, some fans are already wondering if devs are planning to support the game with post-launch content and if there is some kind of roadmap for the future content.

As expected, Square Enix and People Can Fly will naturally support the game with future content, but you should keep in mind that Outriders is not designed as a f2p game-as-a-service (GaaS) title, rather as a standard pay-and-play game.
This means that things like events, seasons, and battle passes won't be included in the development cycle, but instead, we expect to see DLCs that will add new items, new enemies, new story elements, new locations, and other similar types of content.
While there will likely be some free content, a wast majority of DLCs will probably be paid content.

Depending on the game's popularity, we also expect to see at least one major expansion, that will add completely new regions and a brand new story campaign.
And while People Can Fly still hasn't yet revealed its long-term plans (roadmap), they did reveal what will be their first steps in the upcoming weeks.
Developers have a pre-planned patch that should be released sometime in April.
This patch will mostly focus on issues and bugs from the demo that weren't fixed on time for the launch, as well as other non-urgent bugs that are discovered post-launch.
If any game-breaking bug or other urgent issue appears, it will be hot-fixed immediately.

This first update won't be entirely focused on bug fixing, there will be some quality of life improvements and features added as well:
- Controller adjustment options such as deadzone adjustment, acceleration settings and legacy layouts.
- Loading time improvements for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles.
- Further performance improvements for Co-op games.
- Lore collectables issues on second characters will be fixed.
For now, that's about everything we know about the future updates for Outriders. We expect Square Enix and People Can Fly to start outlining their plans for future updates in the months following the game's release.
