All crafting materials serve a purpose in Nightingale, though some are more valuable than others. In order to begin making significant upgrades to your weapons and tools, you'll need to build an Upgrade Bench, which requires Twine.
The problem is that Twine isn't a material you can just find on the ground, but rather one you'll need to craft. Below, we'll go over exactly what you'll need to do to make yourself some Twine and progress through Nightingale's story.

How To Craft Twine In Nightingale
The secret to making Twine in Nightingale is to first build a Simple Spinning Wheel. This schematic can be purchased from an Essence Trader, which you'll need to seek out on your current Realm. If you find yourself running low on Essence, remember you can break down certain materials and Extract the Essence from them. The type of Essence you Extract depends on the quality/tier of the material.
Once you've purchased the Simple Spinning Wheel, you'll need the following materials in order to build it:
- x3 Wood Bundles
- x15 Fiber
- x1 Bone
Now, with the Simple Spinning Wheel built, it's time to make some Twine. To do this, you'll need just two pieces of any Fiber to craft one piece of Twine.
