Despite only being a few years off of a Super Bowl championship, the Los Angeles Rams and Cooper Kupp haven't really had the season they hoped. Unfortunately, the Madden 24 ratings adjustors are well aware and have consequences in the latest roster update.
As the emergence of rookie Puka Nacua continues, the Week 16 Madden 24 roster update has less positive news for veteran Cooper Kupp. When it comes to the Madden 24 ratings, Kupp isn't as elite as he once was.
Cooper Kupp Madden 24 Ratings Bomb, Exits Top 10 WRs
Despite a rocky season, the Los Angeles Rams do still have a strong chance of making the playoffs if they can sneak out another win or two in the final few weeks. However, their star receiver hasn't been quite as responsible for that success and the Madden 24 roster update heading into Week 17 is showing it. With a meager 52 yards catching only half his targets, and no touchdown in sight, Cooper Kupp dropped three whole points to an 89 OVR.
Cooper Kupp's Madden 24 ratings are down in: speed, acceleration, agility, awareness, catching, break tackle, change of direction, spin move, juke move, short route running, medium route running, deep route running, and release. This drop puts him a full seven points down from his launch rating of 96 OVR, which didn't start to decline until Week 8 but has now picked up momentum in the wrong direction.
Following the Week 16 Madden 24 roster update, the top 10 highest rated wide receivers are Justin Jefferson, Tyreek Hill, A.J. Brown, CeeDee Lamb, Stefon Diggs, Davante Adams, Ja'Marr Chase, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Keenan Allen, and Mike Evans. Of course, some Rams are happily taking over, as rookie Puka Nacua started the year at just 67 OVR and has spiked to an 82 OVR, with room to grow even more as the season wraps up.
