Lies Of P Who Are You: Puppet Or Human? Which One To Choose

Lies of P is a soulsborne game that takes a nuanced approach regarding dialogue choices and their effect on the game, the story, and the characters involved.

The game features a Lie System that triggers during certain story moments while tackling side quests, interacting with NPCs, and other such things. 

You get introduced to it early in the game when you arrive at Hotel Krat right after defeating the Parade Master boss. When you interact with the Hotel door, the Hotel Defense System will ask you a rather peculiar question: "Who are you?"

In Lies of P, when the Hotel Defense System asks, "Who are you?" you must select the dialogue option on the right side that says 'Human.' Since, as per the Grand Covenant's Fourth Law, A Puppet cannot lie.

Thus, the system assumes you are indeed a human, opening the door to the only safe place in Krat, the Hotel Krat. Moreover, as soon as you choose the Human option, a Lie, you will earn the Bronze Trophy, First Lie, and experience a change in P's body. 

Well! Telling a lie in Lies of P affects the outcome of the current event or action while generally affecting the game's ending.

By telling a lie, you become more human, whereas by telling the Truth and being emotionless, you incline towards your true nature, that is, being a Puppet. 

What Happens If We Choose Puppet Option At Hotel Krat In Lies Of P 

If you select the Puppet dialogue option at Hotel Krat's entrance in Lies of P,  the Hotel Defense System will tell you that puppets are not allowed on the hotel's premises and will not unlock the door. 

But don't worry! Interact with the door again. If the prompt doesn't pop up, move away and then come back, and you will get the same choice again, where you can select 'Human' to unlock the door and proceed with the game. 

What Happens If We Don't Choose Any Dialogue Option At Hotel Krat In Lies Of P 

Not choosing any dialogue options when at the Hotel Krat's entrance when the Hotel Defense System asks, "Who are you?" will not open the door and lead to a somewhat similar outcome that you get when selecting the 'Puppet' option.
