Dawnbringer Karma first charity skin for Riot Games Social Impact Fund

The 1,000th League of Legends skin will be extra special as 100% of proceeds from Dawnbringer Karma—and other related items— will be going to the newly formed Riot Games Social Impact Fund.

The Social Impact Fund is a unique, philanthropic venture fund, which is a separate entity the game developer and publisher Riot Games. This fund will allows direct investments and charitable contributions to a wide array of global organizations that are aimed at solving some of the world’s most pressing problems.

In the first quarter of 2020, players will be able to vote on different social issues that they want to see supported in their local regions. Riot will allocate a majority of the money raised through the Dawnbringer Karma fundraiser for nonprofits addressing causes that players vote are most important to them.

Each nonprofit will be independently vetted for effectiveness and authenticity, selected based on local issues players have told us are most meaningful and resonant with them, and guarantee that each one will receive a minimum of $10,000 USD.

More information about the specific causes will be revealed in the coming weeks.

To date, Riot has already donated over $4 million on players’ behalf to promote equality in education, opportunity, and global citizenship.

Dawnbringer Karma will be on sale from December 12, 2019 through January 13, 2020 before the items are removed from the shop and they won’t be available for direct purchase after this fundraiser has ended.
