Honkai Star Rail has tons of customization options when it comes to building characters. Players have the choice to decide which skills they want to level up, what team compositions they want to bring to any particular battle, what Light Cone they want to give a character to hold, and, of course, what Relics are equipped to their characters. Relics in Honkai Star Rail are the equivalent of gear in other games, and players will need to farm a lot in order to acquire the perfect Relics for their characters. This is because not only will the right set of gear need to drop, but it will have to have a good main stat, and decent sub-stats, and when you upgrade it, the stat increases are RNG as well!
Still, Relic farming is a necessary evil if you want to power up and optimize your characters, and that's where we come in. This article will cover everything you need to know about Relic farming in Honkai Star Rail!
What Relics To Farm In Honkai Star Rail
Players will want to prioritize farming Relics for their core four party members. While the Relics players receive during the early game are unlikely to stay with you years down the line, it is still important that your core party members have at least decent Relics and Relic sets equipped in order to tackle main story content and progress through the game. Broken sets can also be used for the early game, foregoing the set bonus and relying purely on good sub-stats.
After you feel confident enough to tackle most content, it is time to start farming Relics for your eight Memory of Chaos characters. Ideally, you'll run a four-piece set bonus plus a two-piece Planar Ornament bonus.
When To Farm Relics In Honkai Star Rail
The most optimal level to start farming Relics is Trailblaze Level 65. However, you can start farming at Trailblaze Level 40. From Trailblaze Level 40, farming at the Cavern of Corrosion is guaranteed to yield at least one five-star Relic drop (the highest rarity there is). However, at Trailblaze Level 60, players are guaranteed two five-star Relic drops per run, and at Trailblaze Level 65, players are guaranteed three five-star Relic drops per run.
Naturally, it is going to take a long time for a new player to reach Trailblaze Level 65. However, the game provides a lot of Relics for free such as various Musketeer of Wild Wheat sets. Players can farm a sub-optimal set and use free pieces until reaching Level 65, and then dump all their Fuel into farming from then onward.
And that's everything you need to know about Relic farming in Honkai Star Rail!
