Halo Infinite Season 2 - Lone Wolves - is now live across all platforms with the all-new Last Spartan Standing game mode, two new maps, a 100-tier battle pass, and more to keep everyone busy for a while. Unfortunately, the Season 2 update has also broken or bugged certain aspects of the game.
A major issue that currently plagues Halo Infinite after the Season 2 update is the Last Spartan Standing challenges, which don't count if you quit the game early after being eliminated.
Thankfully, 343's community director, Brian Jarrad, has addressed the situation, and while it isn't ideal, here's few ways to fix the Last Spartan Standing challenges error in Halo Infinite Season 2.
Ways to fix Halo Infinite Season 2 "progress not tracking" issue
As mentioned before, the challenges you complete for the Last Spartan Standing game mode in Halo Infinite Season 2 do not progress or appear if you get eliminated and leave the game early. The issue isn't about why your challenges haven't progressed but when would they progress.
As it turns out, your Last Spartan Standing challenge progress isn't lost but rather delayed, and it won't show up in your profile until the match is finished.
Some players have reported gaining match XP and challenge progress a few minutes after leaving the match. Others have reported gaining XP but not progressing through the event challenges.
343 Industries community manager, Brian Jarrad, suggests that restarting the game or playing through a second Last Spartan Standing much should update the challenge progress.
Jarrad also mentioned that the "Earn cumulative score" and "Games Played" Last Spartan Standing challenges don't count unless the match has completely ended. It's strange, especially since the LSS explicitly mentions that players won't lose XP and the event challenge progression after leaving the match.

No other fix is available at the time of this writing, and if the aforementioned steps don't help, you may have to wait for the latest hotfix from 343 Industries to fix the issue. For the time being, we suggest watching through the entire LSS match despite being eliminated if you want to gain XP and progress the event challenge immediately.
