While there’s been numerous rumours of potential announcements and teases on the horizon, it seems Grand Theft Auto VI won’t be revealed anytime soon.
A new report on Kotaku looking into the changing working conditions at Rockstar Games - speaking to 15 people who work or have worked at the studio - contains some information about GTA VI, stating it will be the developer’s next title.
The report claims, in a bid to reduce crunch at the studio, GTA IV could start out with a “moderately sized release” at launch which is then expanded upon with regular updates over time.
It’s stated however GTA VI is “still early in development”, with the article’s author Jason Schreier also tweeting how the title is “still a ways away”.
The next GTA is still a ways away, so it'll be a while before we see whether the company's attempts to mitigate crunch are really successful, but in the last year Rockstar has made several quality-of-life improvements and replaced managers that staff described as toxic.

Rockstar hasn’t officially confirmed their next title is GTA VI, so it’s important to take this information with a pinch of salt at this point.
Grand Theft Auto V, which became the highest grossing media title of all time, was released way back in 2013 however - so it certainly seems like the right time for another instalment.
While the report clarifies a "moderately sized release" would still be a large game, it does raise the question of whether Rockstar could downscale from Grand Theft Auto V for launch - giving it a greater lifespan following GTA Online's success.
If this report is to be believed too, it may shatter hopes of an original IP or a sequel to 2006's Bully being on the cards for the studio.
Rockstar's last title was Red Dead Redemption II released in 2018.
