Fortnite fans! Are you ready to take on the limited-time Oathbound challenge and earn a ton of XP by aligning a set of Star Sensors? Following the arrival of the Fortnite v23.20 patch, there are even more rewards and exciting new features to discover. Not to mention, new weapons and items like the new Falcon Scout and Bush Bomb have been added to the game to give you an extra edge on the battlefield. So, here's everything to know about how to align those pesky Star Sensors and unlock all the goodies this challenge has to offer in Fortnite.
How To Align Star Sensors in Fortnite
First things first, you'll need to locate the Star Sensors. To do this, you must go to Hidden Hinge, northwest of Faulty Splits, where you'll find them littered around the area. Next, you'll have to get ready to set up those sensors and the cosmic monitor. But don't worry; we'll walk you through it step by step.
Once everything is set up, it's time to get your pickaxe ready and start hitting those sensors in the correct order. Don't worry if this part seems a bit confusing. The pattern is shown on the main cosmic monitor, so all you have to do is hit the five-star sensors surrounding the monitor in the following order:
- Crescent moon on the right side
- Half moon on the right side
- Full moon
- Half moon on the left side
- Crescent moon on the left side
Once you've hit all the sensors in this order, you'll have completed the challenge and will be rewarded with 20,000 XP. You'll also unlock the next stage of the Oathbound questline. As a rule of thumb, we suggest you do this quest with a hired NPC to watch your back, as other players may try to sneak up on you while you align the sensors.
All in all, this is a somewhat unique puzzle for Fortnite to implement. We hope Epic Games continues to add more unique and varied puzzles to the game like this one. Now that you've completed this puzzle, there is much to do in the Oathbound questline and tons of rewards and unlockable items to collect, so keep going to finish this awesome questline.
