Epic Games is no stranger to bringing weapons and items back to Fortnite but few would have suspected that the much-maligned B.R.U.T.E would ever be in the game again.
The B.R.U.T.E, a mech-warrior vehicle that fires rockets, was first introduced in August of 2019 with Fortnite Season X and instantly was considered overpowered by the vast majority of the player base. It made a mockery of the game's building mechanics, a one-man wrecking ball that could destroy builds and limbs and pretty much anything you could throw at it.
It obviously didn't last but now, over two years later, it is back... kinda.
The war against the Sideways is heating up with the release of v18.40 and reinforcements are needed and so the Cubes has decided to through in some Salvaged B.R.U.T.E into the battlefield.
These Salvaged B.R.U.T.E are not quite as powerful as those that came before and, in fact, they aren't even in the game yet as the entire player base will need to donate Gold Bars to cause to get them on the island.
When enough Gold Bars have been donated the B.R.U.T.E will be deployed on the island.
Salvaged B.R.U.T.E Donation Board locations
There are three Donation Board locations for the Salvaged B.R.U.T.E, where, if you chose, you can donate up to 50 Gold Bars to the war effort.
When you donate you will also get some mini-shields so it isn't a totally charitable effort.
We currently only know of one location where you can donate for the B.R.U.T.E, that being:
- On the road leaving south of Pleasant Park
- On the "P" of Corny Crops.
We will update this guide with more information as it becomes available.
