A FNAF x Fortnite Collab Might Be Coming In August

Five Nights at Freddy's could finally be in Fortnite this August, if rumors turn out to be true. Five Nights at Freddy's series creator Scott Cawthon announced that a secret FNAF anniversary collab would be announced on 6th August, the same day that the v30.40 Fortnite update is set to release. This is Fortnite's final update of the season, and will likely be a major one.

The FNAF announcement falling on the same date as the Fortnite update could suggest a Five Nights at Freddy's x Fortnite collab, potentially bringing iconic characters like Freddy Fazbear, Chica, Foxy, and Bonnie into the battle royale. Fans of both franchises have been requesting this collab for a long time, but it has yet to come to fruition.

While it's possible that Five Nights at Freddy's could come to Fortnite in the form of purchasable skins, the franchise would also lend itself well to a FNAF map, allowing players to explore the game's iconic Pizzaplex. There are already countless custom maps created by fans that resemble the locations in the franchise, but no official content quite yet. That could change if the rumored collaboration turns out to be true.

Some fans speculate that the Five Nights at Freddy's collab could, in fact, bring the FNAF characters to Dead by Daylight instead. After all, Dead by Daylight's roadmap shows a licensed chapter is scheduled for August including both a killer and survivor. However, Behaviour Interactive has already teased that the August chapter will actually be a Castlevania collab, likely featuring Dracula as the killer. So, it seems pretty unlikely that Five Nights at Freddy's is coming to Dead by Daylight any time soon, at least not in August.
