There are a ton of ways to construct your army in Fire Emblem Engage. You'll be kept busy trying to optimize all of your units, from equipment to Emblems and classes. However, as you continue to test which Emblems and weapons are best for each unit, you may start to wonder about the fluctuating unit stats and what they mean.
That's where we come in! This article will cover everything you need to know about unit stats in Fire Emblem Engage, including what they each mean, how to maximize them, and more!
Fire Emblem Engage: Unit Stats Explained
There are 18 different stats in Fire Emblem Engage, including an overall rating based on all of a unit's other stats. Most of these stats are fairly self-explanatory, such as Strength, Defense, and Movement. However, stats like Luck, Resistance, and Avoid might not be so obvious. Here is a breakdown of every stat in Fire Emblem Engage and what they do.
- Level: Your character's level.
- Movement: The number of tiles a unit can move.
- HP: Total amount of health.
- Build: How much weight your unit can carry. Heavier items will incur a penalty on units with a low Build stat.
- Skill Points: Used to inherit Emblem Skills.
- Physical Attack: Damage dealt when using Melee attacks.
- Hit Rate: Determines whether an attack hits or misses.
- Avoid Rate: Determines whether a unit will dodge an incoming attack or not.
- Critical Rate: Percentage chance to crit an enemy. Crits deal triple damage.
- Dodge Rate: Percentage chance to dodge an incoming enemy crit.
- Strength: Another factor determining damage dealt with physical attacks.
- Magic: Determines damage dealt with magic attacks.
- Dexterity: Used during Hit/Crit chance calculation. The higher, the better.
- Speed: Another factor used to calculate Avoid rate. Higher speed also may make a unit attack twice in a row if their speed is higher than the enemy.
- Defense: Determines damage taken from physical attacks.
- Resistance: Determines damage taken from magic attacks.
- Luck: Determines a variety of other factors, including dodge rate.
- Rating: A number based on the total stats above.
As you can see, a lot of these stats interact with each other, but knowing how each stat works with another is not necessary to beat the game (unless you're playing a no-death Maddening run). Additionally, certain items can increase these stats permanently. Seraph Robes, for example, can increase a unit's HP by 5 for the remainder of the game.
And this is everything you need to know about unit stats in Fire Emblem Engage.
