He would eventually secure the coveted Ballon D'Or in 2007. Naturally, Real Madrid came knocking on Milan's door and confirmed the services of the explosive playmaker in 2009. His career became to decline with Los Merengues, and sadly, never fully recovered, retiring just four years after leaving Madrid in 2017.
