Now that Fall Guys has finally released, over 1.5 million players have entered the fight for first place in the wacky battle royale-style game. Playing a series of minigames with the aim to be the last jellybean standing at the end of it all, there’s a lot to learn if you want to be the best. Here’s how to win at Fruit Chute.

The Fruit Chute level is the simplest in concept out of all of Fall Guys. The aim: get to the top of the ramp. Of course, the torrent of fruit being hurled at you from the cannons atop that ramp do tend to make things a little trickier.
Although the game is simple to understand, players that have experienced Fruit Chute know that the level is harder than it looks. With that in mind, you’ll need every trick in your limited book to qualify this round.
Be sure to tilt your camera up to better see the fruit as it begins to fly at you. Although some projectiles are less predictable than others, it’s possible to judge where many will travel and adjust your path accordingly. You should also bear in mind that whilst jumping will give you a small boost in speed, due to the conveyor belt slowing your run, it’s harder to dodge fruit whilst in the air.

The least visible of the items being fired at you is the rolling log, what we can only imagine is meant to be a cinnamon stick. This will always come right down the middle, and it can even hit players who believe themselves to be safely off the treadmill. Don’t stop to gloat in this game, or you might be in for a surprise.
Quick Tips
- Small barriers at the sides of the stage can protect you momentarily, but be prepared to move into the centre when possible, otherwise, you’ll be knocked off the edge
- As despicable as the tactic may be, you can grab other players to use as a meat shield. Just don’t be mad if they use your tactic for themselves
- The rolling log can be jumped over, but it’s the only fruit that can be dodged in this way
Fall Guys is available now on PlayStation 4 and PC. PlayStation Plus members can download it for free this month.
