Enotria: The Last Song is influenced by the Souls-like genre, yet it distinguishes itself with unique features and mechanics. However, one aspect it retains from the Souls tradition is the inclusion of Reality Knots, which serve as the game's equivalent of bonfires.

These locations allow players to rest and restore their abilities, but they come with additional mechanics that enhance gameplay. Let’s delve into the details and explore how Reality Knots function in Enotria: The Last Song.

How Do Reality Knots Work In Enotria: The Last Song

As mentioned, Reality Knots are special locations scattered throughout the world of Enotria: The Last Song, serving as essential points of respite during your journey. When you discover and unravel a Reality Knot, you can rest there to fully recover your health and remove status ailments (although this will reset all your mask lines to 0%, so keep that in mind).

In addition to their healing function, Reality Knots offer several other important features. First, they allow you to use your Memoria to level up your character and allocate points to your virtues. They are also the only places where you can edit your Loadouts - three customizable builds that you can switch between by changing masks as you explore the world.

It's crucial to note that the only elements of Loadouts you can swap on the fly are your weapons; your Path of Innovators, Mask Lines, and Aspects can only be changed at Reality Knots. Make sure you have the desired build ready, as these knots can sometimes be far apart. However, you can always use an item to teleport back if needed.

You can also access your Path of Innovators at these locations, allowing you to equip passive perks to any of your Loadouts. Remember that you can only equip six perks at a time, so choose wisely. Additionally, Reality Knots enable fast travel, allowing you to teleport instantly to any other Knot you've unraveled, provided you’ve rested there first.

This feature becomes especially useful as you progress to later areas in the game, where smithing stations may not be nearby. Teleporting to a familiar Reality Knot, like Quinta, where you know there’s a smithing station, can significantly ease the effort of upgrading your weapons.
