Whether you're looking to work your way up to your school of choice or just aren't happy with how a season went, College Football 25 has included the dynamic Transfer Portal in Road to Glory. This will make the career mode experience even more unpredictable, but it also comes with some risks. We'll go over exactly how you can use the Transfer Portal in College Football 25 and what you should keep in mind when starting your Road to Glory journey.

The first thing you'll be happy to know is that there's no limit on using the Transfer Portal in College Football 25 Road to Glory. You can continue to jump from school to school throughout your collegiate career, but you'll only have the option to do so at the end of each season. If you wanna extend the amount of times you can try greener pastures, you can also try to get a redshirt during your first season to give your player an extra year.

If you advance without entering the Transfer Portal, you won't get another chance until the end of the next season. Also, clicking "Enter Transfer Portal" will bring up the selection screen, but it's something you can back out of. There's no risk in checking the field to see if another team looks worth your luck, as you can stay where you're at and simply advance to the next season.

When you're ready to try another option, look through all the schools to see how things might work out upon arrival. Some programs may have a depth chart that automatically slots you in as the projected Starter, and often those will be the ones with a high Interest Level. As far as we can tell the game will let you sign basically anywhere, but your success may vary if the school isn't showing any interest.

A low Job Security means that poor performance could lead to Depth Chart adjustments or a Position Battle where you risk losing your Starter spot. School Fit uses a variety of factors including some of the answers you gave at Road to Glory creation which define some of what's important to your player, and part of that will also be whether your player fits the Offensive Scheme or Defensive Scheme at that school.

If you sign with a school that has you further down the Depth Chart, you'll have to try and perform in any snaps given each week while improving your ratings until it triggers a Position Battle and gives you a chance to earn the Starter position. While your overall Coach Trust level does seem to transfer and not decrease upon signing with a new program, you won't be able to enable play selection until you're a Starter. The potential for a shiny new program is enticing, but you might see more success if you find one home and settle in.
