While new skills and equipment will go a long way towards increasing your toughness in battle, that alone won't be enough to handle the more challenging enemies in Dragon Age: The Veilguard. If you haven't increased your health, bosses could wipe you out in one or two hits after a single missed dodge or counter. The good news is that you can regularly increase your health in Dragon Age: The Veilguard once you know what to look for.
How to Increase Rook's Health in Veilguard
As you explore each new area, the first thing you'll likely be looking out for is treasure. Every bit of gold could make a difference, but that's not the only valuable find you should seek out. If you notice a small dragon-like symbol on your map, that signals an even more important resource in Veilguard.
These symbols are used to mark that an Evanuris Altar could be activated. If you find an Evanuris Altar, activating it will cause a handful of rotating octagonal targets to appear in the area around it. You can look at the beams of light coming out of the altar after activation to get an idea of which direction each target is in relation to that altar.
Quickly locate and shoot each of these targets with your bow to finish the challenge and reap the rewards. Each time you complete an Evanuris Altar in Veilguard, you'll permanently gain +100 Health. If you're facing a battle that seems insurmountable and you don't want to lower the difficulty, try exploring elsewhere to seek out an Evanuris Altar.
When you're looking for the symbol on your map, it's important to note that the Evanuris Altar isn't the only thing you'll find. These can also mark the presence of a Fen'harel Altar. This smaller wolf statue will rotate and point in the direction of your treasure. Explore the area nearby to locate an even smaller wolf statue, and collecting it will give you +1 Skill Point. Making these a must to locate any time you enter a new area will give you a big advantage in Dragon Age: The Veilguard.
